"Don't worry Keo, I won't let go of you!" He said, loud enough for her to hear but not enough so for it to be a shout. He looked at her, hiding any unease, knowing that if he showed any fear, it might cause her to be more nervous. He looked up, and watched as a rope fell down toward them. As if sent from above or something. He could see the sillohutte of someone, though he couldn't quite make it out from the brightness of light pouring down from the cliff edge. He narrowed his dark eyes a bit, until he was able to identify who it was.

"Dog!" he shouted out with joy and releif, eyes flashing with a bit more solid hope.

He looked down at Keomai again, hoisting her up with his powerful arm.
"I can't leave FlipFlop here..." He said as he wrapped his arm around her waist, allowing both of her arms freedom. "Tie the rope around your waist and climb up. Or just let Dog pull you up. I'll wait."

"H-HEY! You can't just leave me here either!!" shouted the cowpig, who had grabbed the end of Keomai's tail when they had fallen. He climbed up her tail and onto her shoulder.

"...Fawsew you go with her."

"WHAT?! And leave my buddy hanging off the edge of a cliff?!" D8

"I'll be fine!" Shoe looked at Keomai with reassuring confidence. "Go on, I'll follow."

Keomai blinked, and shook her head. "W-wait... Wait.. I got this..." Her nerves were shot, but with shoe by her side, she was a little more stable. Her once tiny wings spreading again, growing out, stopping for a second, about that the point from before, then grew larger. "I can fly!" She smiled, a little cooler headed now.

He looked on in amazement. He always beleived that flight was a gift only to the spirits and rewarded animals and angels. Watching her become airborn, would be something he'd never forget.

"Alright." He said in a back to earth way, and grabbed a hold of the rope. He swung hs arm up and grabbed FlipFlop's ankle, who retracted his sharp claws from the boy's other arm. Shoe climbed up Flip's back, hooking his legs between the griffon's wings and shoulders, as he tied the rope into his collar. FlipFlop started to climb, in a cat-like way, using his wings to keep balance by flexing one or the other to even his weight. Pebbles clicking against the rocky wall as they were knocked loose. Shoe rode FlipFlop up to the edge of the cliff.

Fawsew clung onto Keomai's shoulder tightly as she had taken off.

The griffon hauled himself over the edge, hacking out hollow and tired coughs like an over worked dog. Shoe instantly dismounted and stepped to the head of the griffon, holding up his beak with one hand and strokeing it up and down with the other hand like a horse's snout.

"You did good FlipFlop, really good." He said with wary eyes, which met FlipFlop's equally exhausted orbs. The muscles in the beast's wings twitched with aggrivation and exhaustion from having to pump verticly up and down to gain enough power to go against the dragon's air wakes. His four myghty pillars that hoisted up his massive bulk were strong from years of activity, and didnt complain as much as his wings did. But a good pat on the beak seemed to ease FlipFlop's spirits, as did Shoe's. He was very proud of his friend.

However the solace on Shoe's face was replaced with seriousness once again. In his mind he was questioning why this had happened.

Keomai smiled a little, letting go of shoe, flapping her wingies in the air. She easily lifted herself up the to the cliff edge, plucking Fawsew off of her shoulder, dropping him off, before pulling away from the cliff, stretching her wings. It'd been so long since she'd flown, so she took the time that she had to flap around, twirling the skirt fanning out arms outstretched, smiling a little. It was a bit too much for the whole thing that had just happened, but the relief was nice. =w=~

The sun was breaking over the horrizon line, shining pretty orange on the bright fall colours of the trees, and the deep blue water, making a rather pretty scene.

He stepped back and faced the cliff edge, watching her. The hand that was holding up FlipFlop's beak now had it's fingers sunk into the griffon's feathers under his jaw. His other hand hung heavily at his side. For a moment his face held pure amazement as he watched her, but the expression faded into seriousness once again.

He simply stood and watched, without words. The orange glow of the rising sun looked as if it was bringing fiery color to the darkness of the night world. As if life was being rejuvenated, the blazing glow of the mighty star dappled on the waves of the water like stars. Keomai seeming to dance effortlessly in the air like a beautifully constructed marionette, at the strings of on old master of the art. The graceful flow of her clothing, her golden hair, sun-like orange orbs.
However the boy could not find peace, even among all this beauty. His mind hung heavily onto what had just happened.

Keomai soon slowed remembering that others were watching, her cheeks turing rosey for only a moment as she floated back to the cliff, landing her feet, stumbling a little having not used them for a few minutes at most, leaving her wings outgrown for now. The process of putting them back in was kinda painful, so she'd wait till she was alone.

She looked almost automatically at Shoe, smiling. She walked right up to him wrapping her arms around him pulling him into a sunwarmed embrace. ".... You.. Saved me..." She said, smiling more as she said it. Her Knight in Shining armour <3.

"I..didn't do much." He stared as if shocked she was so thankful to him. "It just tossed you away after a while."

He looked over to the griffon "FlipFlop did most of the work."

Keoami let out a smirk, letting go. "ah, so you're right. Then I guess flipflop will get this instead...!" She trotted over to the griff, a placed a cutesy little kiss on his beak, rubbing it and smiling. Too bad Shoe. Should have kept your mouth shut XD!

Flipflop let out a little chirp when Keomai approached him, hearing her say she had something for him. Tilting his side side to side in a curious fashion he expected it to be some kind of tasty treat, since that was that Shoe gave him when he'd done something good. The short feathers on his head lifting up a little as he was starting to become excited at the thought of being given some birdseed or small mammal.
However, the kiss did surprise him, holding still for her he let out another little chirp before bumping his beak against her cheek gently as he sort of returned the gesture. Twisting his head to look over his shoulder giving Shoe a smug sort of look that he was getting all the affection.

"Ok" faw sead waving his hands in the air

"befor we go into this little "Reunion"" he sayed sarcastic

" one where the dragon come from...& two SINCE WHEN CAN YOU FLY???" fawsew sead with a snort while facing keomai

The boy looked at the brazen bird. Light offence taken, but hey. He was the one who said he deserved it, so who was he to complain. He slowly shook his head with an amused smile.

However once the cowpig raised his voice, Shoe's attention was drawn to the questioning Fawsew.

Keoami smiled, pampering the little griff, before looking up and over at Fawsew, frowning. She didn't want to talk about it. "I don't know... But.. Other than being started... I wasn't really all that scared... I don't think it wanted to hrut me..." She frowned, sighing, not really knowing what she was saying, petting the griff a few seconds more before walking over to Shoe, wrapping her arm around his waist, leaning against him.

The bird stood enjoying the attention, bumping his beak up against her every now and then, even nuzzling her as he let out deep purrs and chirps to show he was clearly enjoying the fuss. He loved for anyone to make a fuss of him or to praise him, knowing how to work people by acting cute to make them melt. It quite often saved his neck when he'd done something naughty, and if trying to win them over failed then he'd just nip them and fly away as quick as his wings could carry him.

"Wha? does noone wanna talk about anything here" faw sead narrow eyed

"i mean comeon ppl were gunna have to talk about things we dont like to talk about some time.." faw sead with a ":/" face

"Talk about what Faw?" Shoe said in an attempt to confuse the cowpig. "Breakfast?"

"oy vay... no not breakfast" he sead glaring at shoe

"i mean there has to be a connection with all of this... i mean what are the odds that keomai getting snatched up by a dragon? dragons happen to be a rare appearance here, hello do we remember? its not like we can find a dragon just anywhere! she has to have some sort of connection to the fire dragon shoe." he says to shoe

He was hoping the girl didn't hear that, because Fawsew was correct. Dragons were extremely rare, on his entire journey to find just ONE, this was the first time he had ever seen any at all.

"Shhhh keep it down." He said walking to the edge of the cliff for a little more privacy with the cowpig on his shoulder. "I know, you're right. But how do we know that was even the Fire Dragon hmmmm?" He said with a witty look. "Did you ever get a good look at 'im?"

"well no i didnt really, but think, the "fire dragon" i heard of in myths & legends say that the beast is the size of an entire village (i highly dough this) but its what ive heard, & remember the look of the one that just flown away, pfft thats more like a farmers backyard then a village, trust me i know these things, plus your not thinking hard enough there could be more. and shoe where do you think keomai came from? maybe the dragon came from the same place she came from... maybe it followed her here along with others... >.> ever think of that smartass"

he sead to shoe hands cupping shoes ear

The boy looked interested.

"She said something about 'dimensions'..." he didn't even know the meaning of the word.

"shoe do you possibly know of anyone who knows the storys of the dragon? whos possibly seen it once befor? yahno if you believe that whole "history repeats its self dealleo""

he sead to shoe standing up lookin towards the ocean eyes glimmering

"cuz if you do... this might be the beginning of our journey... to finally finding & destroying that beast that is annihilating the once quaint beautiful world, village by town by city.... :/ im rambling again" he said sitting back down on shoes shoulder

Shoe couldn't help but lightly laugh for some reason. "Heh heh, wow Fawsew, that was really deep for you." He said with a sly look on. "Though he didn't understand why the cowpig was telling him all this.

"Umm.. Sinca's village was distroied by it like yours.. She said it was northeast of here, the way we've been going. I don't think she's seen it though."

He put a hand to his chin as he thought, looking out at the water. Thinking about what the cowpig just said. He hoped his tribe was ok...

"where do you think we should go" Faw sead it a questioning face on

"we can always go to investigate the places that got destroyed to look for any clues... or maybe we can follow the flight path the dragon took maybe it leads to the next point of destruction... or we can always ask the others if they know anything maybe Jur knows i mean the guy fell from the sky for crying out loud :/ hes gotta know something..."

"Oh...um Jur fell from the sky because Jinyu fell on him.." Shoe looked, he had found that out when he was watching them from affar. "And he hasn't spoken about the Fire Dragon.. so I don't his traveling had anything to do with it."

"I think we should keep heading northeast...Something's telling me to. We'll find some clues once we reach Sinca's old home..."

"humm" faw sead rubbing his chin

"then maybe we should do what your instincts are telling you" he laughed "i mean you the boy of the woods, when have your instincts let you down" he sead with a smile

"now come on its been hard for us for the past few mins lets all go on inside so we can regroup & discuss what youve desided what to do."

Keomai luckily for them had gotten distracted, standing near the edge of the cliff. She again spread out her wings, lifting up a few feet away. She was now paying more attention to how good the breeze felt in her wings.

THIS time the dragon came from a differnt approach. A little more, one could say, civilized? He came from bellow, staying down out of site hiding just bellow the cliff ledge, reaching a pawing claw up to latch her ankle. Lmao. It was trying so hard not to be noticed that it was almost silly. With a mere squeak, Keomai was pulled down. The dragon, seeing as how he was trying a different form of getting her attention, the easiest way to 'not alarm' one, was to take a human form, figuring she had done the same, not realising she didn't know yet <:. He flew up pulling her with, back to the cliff's edge looking at the two chattering away. "You two should be more careful..." He muttered. Same tail, same ears, same wings, only larger. "About watching over this little one..."

Keomai squeaked, looking up, before glancing at the ears tail and wings. Just like her's. She shivered. She was the only one of her kind back in her dimention. This was a whole new story. She couldn't do anything but stare as the newcomer held onto her, considering she wasn't even using her own legs right now lmao.
