Kanehe, starting the story

Shoe stopped his uneventful job of collecting firewood [being the only with big enough to lift the wood with thumbs] when he heard the sound of a girl's voice. Shoe judged, as trained to do so, by her tone and pitch that she was speaking to another person.

He carefully and quietly lowered the sticks to the leaf covered earth, and silently, yet supriseingly quickly trotted his way into nearby brush as to spy on the voices. He manipulated the branches of his hiding place with an expert hand, knowing how to move them without sound. He has grown up in this enviorment, and was totally in his place here.

A part of him was wondering if he should bring this up to Fawsew or FlipFlop, but his curiosity had him planted in this position. A few more twigs moved out of the way and he could clearly see the girl, the voice he had heard.

Keomai had her arms crossed, staring down at the odd little creature, dressed with goggles, scarf, and a vest. "I don't know where we are okay! The device broke while we were in the dimenstion stream when you just couldn't keep your hands off!" The girl stepped on the back of his head "Watch who you're talking to!" A quick flick of her tail let it outstretch and flop onto the ground. Her wings were closed, curled against her back, white and gossy, blonde-ish hair falling over them. Klitch just rolled his eyes and continued messing with the device. "we're as good as stuck. It looks like night is about to come. we should really get somewhere safe..."

He couldn't quite grasp what the subject of this conversation was. Device? Dimenstion stream? He found himself syncing his lips to the words and he thought them over, knowing not to whisper. A lowerd and confused brow as he rolled these terms around in his head. He raises his eyes once again, catching a better look at the two. Something he had not previously noticed on the girl. Was that...a tail? And wings! Could this person be some sort of angel? How amazeing!

He contained himself of course, the last thing he would want is to be seen. He was finding out too much to be caught now.

Keomai rubbed her arms, shivering a little. The hair on her tail was standing up some, making it all fuzzy and fluffy, her ears long and striped. She stretched a little, looking around. "How are we supposed to find somewhere safe..?! We're surrounded by feilds!" She gave Klitch a worried face, frowning, her tail flicking around as she shivered again. "Klitch...! Its cold...!" She muttered, frowning.

He wasn't entirely sure if he could trust these two. Everything they've been talking about has made little to no sense. Where could they have come from to be so lost and out of place? Yet seeing the girl shiver, Shoe almost wanted to reach out and offer her a spot by the campfire with his comrades. ALMOST. Shoe's instincts were telling him to stay put, and find out more. Yet his brain was telling him to make some sort of action, and so he did.

He stood, currently behind the two, and with a few light, but not hidden, steps he went closer.

"Good... day."

Keomai turned, wings somewhat fanning out, squeaking slightly. "H-hu-...??" Klitch's reaction was a little different though. He was on the offense, slipping infront of keo protectively, glaring. "who are you?!". Keomai was dazed, looking at him, before snapping back to what was going on. She stepped on the back of Klitch's head and pressed him to the ground. "H-hi..!"

He took a moment to stare at the little talking animal. He was a bit fascinated by it, having never seen such a species before. Nor had he ever been talk to in such a way from something so small. He regained his focus.
Rather then reply with his name, he cut to the chase.

"What are you doing here?" He said returning his dark gaze to the girl. She looked so... pale. Especially compared to himself. She obviously wasn't from around here. Yet she was very beautiful.

Keomai stepped down and hopped over Klitch's head, tail swinging back and forth now. A hand on her hip and she was ready to go. "I don't really know. We're stranded is more like it." She slowly approached even further cautiously. She strung her fingers together, staring him down with bright orange eyes. "Who are you?" She shivered again, shaking her head a little trying to shake away the urge to shiver.

He put a hand over his chest as he introduced himself.

"I'm Shoe, of the Susa Tribe."

He lowered his hand back down to his side in a quick, clean way. Never turning his eyes away from her orange orbs. Though he seemed relaxed already, he was bracing himself for what usually followed after people learn his name. Apparently it was a strange name to have outside of his tribe.

"..and who are you?"

Keomai tilted her head, then tilted it the other way. She smiled, though didn't laugh. She was not aware of this whole tribe thing. It was still odd, but not as odd to her as it was to everyone of the time period. "Keomai." She muttered through her lips, finally breaking the gaze looking off, and around. Without realizing it she had started shivering again. Klitch finally lifted his head, rubbing the back of it glaring at shoe through Keomai, just to keep his icey stare hidden.

He was still a little lost in this situation. Something was so strange about these two. Stranded? How?

He seemed to stop thinking as he once again caught a glimpse of her shaking.
"A-are you... cold or something?" He asked, a hand halfway extended for a fleeting moment, but quickly withdrawn. He himself was used to the scoartching sun of the day, and the biting cold wind of the night.

Shoe wanted to help her, but wasn't sure how. His aloof nature had him alienated from her chilly predicament. He just couldn't relate.

Keomai glanced back at him to catch his hand fleeing back to his side. She blinked, before relaxing her stance looking back up at him. "What does it matter...?" She rubbed her arm and tried to hide the chilly breeze's affect. She'd composed herself a little more, crossing her arms once more, trying to hide the fact that she was still trying to warm herself up.

"..Well
I have a small campout with a fire going. If you need a place to stay for the night. Being standed an' all."

He wasn't sure of the offer he just made, or what made him make it. He had a strange fondness for this girl, that he couldn't quite place.
His eyes drifted a little past her face and fixed themselves on the rising smoke. He assumed that had something to do with this 'device' they were talking about. What on earth would produce smoke other then fire? Yet this smoke wasn't the thickness, nor the smell or color of the smoke that filled the air during a brush fire. It seemed fuel based, but to what?

She glanced away for a second or two till his offer came along. So much for her composure. She trotted over to him, grabbing his hand, mortally pleased. "really? You don't mind...?....!" She smiled, holding on of his hands with both of her's. they were freezing.

Klitch glared at him, still sceptical.

He looked obviously thrown off by her incredibly willing attitude. His dark eyes a little wider and his pupil a bit skrunk with a high brow. Mouth a little agape.

For the moment he was either ignoring, or was simply unaware of the exsistance of Klitch. His focus was completely on Keomai.

"Of course I don't mind." He said with a little bit of stun left on his face.

She smiled and even giggled a little, letting go of his hands, skipping right over to Klitch grasping him, throwing him up into the air catching him breaking his glare on the poor Shoe. He looked at keomai shocked like, flailing in the air. She smiled and huggled him. "Hear that Klitch?" She smiled, most interested in the heat. she was freezing. Klitch just nodded his head, staring at her. She turned, holding him in her arms like a child would hold a dog, under the arms; looking at Shoe trotting back over to him. "Okay!" She smiled, tail wagging happily, ears flopping up and down some. Heat!

Keomai continued to surprise him. But this rather silly display couln't help but shatter any and all walls he may have thought would be between them.
A modest but still in shock smile on his face, "Allright then! Come on."

He said as he turned and gestured with his hand to follow. Shoe proceeded to walk his way back to the campsite that he had set up with the help of Fawsew and Flip Flop. Uh oh, he had forgotten to mention those two. Infact, he had comepletely forgotten about them. Probably a mistake, he wasn't sure if Keomai had ever encountered creatures such as these before.

She followed, jumping Klitch in her arms everynow and then, pleased beyond words. Heat! a source of heat! How much longer was this going to be? She found herself walking closer and closer to Shoe, till finally she just let go of Klitch holding him up by one arm, wrapping her other arm around shoe's, pulling close. Many may think it was an image of flirting, but she was really purely just far too cold. Klitch scowled.

He threw her a puzzled look for a moment. She was very trusting of him, for a stranger, yet he could feel on his arm the chill to her pale skin.

Shoe turned his face in the direction he was walking once again. His expression still that of a distant unsureness. The camp itself wasnt really very far. He could already smell the campfire, which reminded him that he was going to hunt something too cook on that fire once he was done collecting wood to feed it.

After a quick glance at Klitch, he desided to give him such a glance again. This animal must be a part of Keomai's family somehow. In other words, not food.

Keomai yawned, looking away from the leading path which could have been the stupidest thing she could have done in this sort of situation. A second later she hit a root popping up from the ground and that was it. She flopped right over Klitch going into the air as she squeaked, wings outspreading some in surprise. "!!!"

As though this were all in a slow motion, Shoe reacted quickly. Using the fact she had her arm around his as an advantage. The wrapped arm grabbing her hand, Two fast steps foward to catch her mid desent, leaned over somewhat.
...However he didn't make such an effort to catch Klitch [<w<'';]. Any effort for that matter.

"Are you alright?"

She looked up quickly, catching a very upclose and personal moment staring at him. This time he caught HER off guard. "U-uhm..!" She started her answer but Klitch rudely interupted, busting between the two. Keomai still fell again flopping to the ground this time, Klitch glaring at him flailing his arms. "you! you you you! Keep your pervy hands offa her! >:C" Said the little cat like rodent, protectively.

"p-PERVY??!"
Obvious insult in his face, he pointed and angry finger at Klitch.

"Hey look pal! I was only tryin' to help the girl!" He exclaimed, leaning a little closer as to be eye-to-eye with the little creature.

"Who the hell are you suposed to be anyway!?"

Klitch glared right back, shoving a finger in his nose. "YES! pervy >:C!" He growled. "/I/ am her best frie-..!!" Keomai interuptted him, shoving his face into the ground. She sat up again, once more upclose and person with Shoe. "Just ignore him...!" She muttered, cracking a slight smile, dirt on her face.

Shoe was a little confused, and once again had a withdrawn air to him. Yet he didn't retreat himself from this face-to-face position with Keomai. He instead wiped off some of the dirt on her face with two gentle fingers. Not all, he personally had no problem with dirt, and had even been told he had an earthy smell to him. He took it as a compliment.
